Census Report on Importance of FTZ’s Benefits

Today the Census released it’s annual Profile of U.S. Importing and Exporting Companies. The report drives home the crucial fact that imports are essential to the competitive success of U.S. companies. The continuing importance of the foreign-trade zones (FTZ) program was highlighted in the report.

Significantly, 83,800 companies in the United States both exported and imported in 2012. (See the nearby chart from the Census report.)
